A private space opens in Milan
During Milano Design Week, design often moves beyond galleries and showrooms into more intimate settings. This year, RedDuo Galleria offered exactly that. Created by Fabiola Di Virgilio and Andrea Rosso, the project transformed their first home near Corso Genova into a temporary exhibition space. Over five days, visitors were invited into a personal environment shaped by objects, artworks and pieces developed throughout the year.
Between domesticity and design
Rather than presenting a conventional exhibition, RedDuo Galleria explored the relationship between living spaces and contemporary design. Familiar surroundings became a framework for dialogue, where collected works and selected brands reflected the founders' own creative universe. The exhibition brought together objects with a strong sense of permanence, material honesty and personal significance, encouraging visitors to experience design in a slower and more intimate setting.
Brutalist Speaker in context
Among the curated pieces was the Brutalist Speaker by Transparent. Its architectural expression and raw material palette resonated naturally with the atmosphere of the apartment, where contemporary objects existed as part of everyday life rather than as isolated exhibits. Placed within the home, the speaker became part of a broader conversation about design that values longevity, presence and thoughtful craftsmanship.
